MODULE 2: FINANCIALLY PLANNING FOR YOUR FUTURE

In Module 2, you will start putting together your faith-based Financial Life Plan for what you want to happen in your financial life. That is, you will put together a plan to reach your short-term and long-term financial goals including growing and protecting your income, paying off debt, saving for a car or home, planning for your children's education and your own retirement. Financial Wellness begins with Financial Education

Six out of ten Americans workers say financial stress is their most common cause of stress.1 Only 39% of Americans have enough savings to cover a $1000 emergency.2 A full 77% of working age Americans are not on track to have adequate retirement savings if they retire at age 67.3 Christians are giving an average of 2.5% of their income to churches and only 10 to 25% of Christians fully tithe.4

Change Starts With You

A successful financial life begins with knowing what you want and having faith God loves you and wants to "prosper you and not harm you, give you hope and a future" so you may "...be enriched in every way to be generous on every occasion"5 . It requires you to put a plan together - one that you develop with qualified and trusted advisors. It can then come to fruition when you take actions that move you closer to your short-term and long-term financial goals while tracking and monitoring your progress along the way. However, all of this must be built on a foundation of financial literacy and that is why I designed this course for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Financial Wellness?
Financial Wellness is a feeling one has about their entire financial situation or overall financial health. Rather than focusing on a single aspect of financial planning such as debt, tax planning, estate planning, retirement or college savings, Financial Wellness programs look at how all the pieces of one's financial life fit together.
Why don't you give advice in your course?
There is no one right answer for every person in financial planning anymore than there is in medicine, fashion, relationships or anything else. Know Your Client is a standard rule in the financial services industry. It requires investment advisors and financial planners to know detailed information about their client's objectives, time horizon, financial situation and comfort with market volatility before providing any advice.
Why don't you share testimonials?
Rule 206(4)-1 of the Investment Advisors Act of 1940 prohibits advisors from promoting testimonials by clients. The SEC acknowledges it "may give rise to a fraudulent or deceptive implication, or mistaken inference, that the experience of the person giving the testimonial is typical of the experience of [all of] the advisor's clients."
How long will it take to complete the course?
It depends on your pace. The videos take a combined 2 hours and 25 minutes to view. The assignments for each lesson will take at least a few weeks to complete and that is if you are working at a quick pace. I expect most students will take 6 to 8 weeks to complete the course.
How do I know if this course is right for me?
A Course in Faith-Based Financial Life Planning is designed for Christians who want to improve their financial literacy and/or circumstances. It covers every financial planning topic at a basic, introductory level to introduce you to financial terms and concepts you need to know and guides you in creating a faith-based Financial Life Plan. You can complete it in privacy when it's convenient for you at a pace you are comfortable with. And it comes with a 30-day money back guarantee if you are not fully satisfied.
What if I am unhappy with the course?
We never want you to be unhappy! If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, contact us in the first 30 days and we will give you a full refund.
Who do I contact if I have additional questions?
